Virgil Abloh

Virgil Abloh's approach to design is very much influenced by his history as a DJ, sampling excerpts of 'sounds' from a range of visual capacities and remixing them in a way that dissolves the barriers between their contexts. His specialty was taking inanimate and otherwise unnoticeable symbols and objects, such as quotation marks, slashes and zip-tie tags, and turning them into cultural statements.
