Kaws

Brian Donnelly, or KAWS, makes work that show no sign of the artist's hand, but instead carry the spirit of cartoons and graffiti by implying synthetic spaces of florescent colors and disassembled character forms. This spirit is translated through the lens of consumer culture and collecting, coming to life as limited edition toys, t-shirts, cereal boxes and Audemars Piguet watches. Signature Kaws features like X's for eyes and Mickey hands have infiltrated sectors of augmented reality, fashion, music and museums.
