The Homer Simpson face is an icon that Andrew Agutos has drawn hundreds of times. Here, Agutos applies a hard-edge, abstract language to the Matt Groening character. Homer's portrait is part of a five-canvas series of all members of the Simpsons family.
The series was exhibited in solo exhibition Dysfunctional (2013) at Phantom Galleries, a storefront-exhibition space in San Jose, CA. Later in 2014, it was displayed at BAIT Melrose in Los Angeles, CA.
